RIVERDALE - Blood drive seeking donors
RIVERDALE - Because every 2.5 seconds someone needs blood, area residents are invited to participate in the Riverdale Community Blood Drive in cooperation with Community Blood Services.
Blood donors can attend on Thursday, Dec. 18, from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Wal-Mart Riverdale on 48 Route 23 North. To schedule an appointment, please call (201) 251-3703. All blood types are needed, especially Types 0- and 0+.
Any healthy individual, ages 17 through 75, and weighing at least 110 pounds can donate blood. Donors should eat a moderate meal before donating and must bring identification showing signature. All donors receive complimentary cholesterol screening with every blood donation.
