WEST MILFORD - The 16-year-old township girl who was critically injured in a motor vehicle accident on Morsetown Road on Sept. 27 is out of intensive care, police said.
Lt. Timothy Storbeck said Friday that the teen is still at Morristown Memorial Hospital recuperating from injuries sustained when the 2001 Nissan Altima that she was riding in hit two large trees around 1:30 p.m. that Saturday.
The 17-year-old driver, also a township girl, was injured but was released from the same hospital soon after she was brought there the day of the accident.
Early last week, Chief Assistant Prosecutor James Wilson said that investigators had not found anything that would warrant charges being pressed against the driver. The West Milford Crash Investigation Unit and Passaic County Prosecutor’s Office are investigating the accident.
