Bloomingdale

Senior Center
Aerobic classes are held on Mondays and Wednesdays at 2:30 p.m.  A chair
aerobics class is held on Tuesdays at 10:30 a.m. and an Arthritis Exercise
Program is held on Thursdays at 10:30 a.m.  Mexican Train Dominos are played
on the first and third Tuesdays at 1:30 p.m. and MahJongg and cards are
played on Fridays.

Help with the prescription drug program or any entitlement program is
available at the center by appointment. Call Pat for information on any of
the programs available at the center.

Pequannock

Disc 55
All senior residents of Pequannock Township and their friends are welcome to
participate in varied programs held at the DISC 55 Senior House in the
Municipal Plaza at 530 Newark-Pompton Turnpike, Pompton Plains.

Crafts
The craft group meets every Tuesday and Thursday morning at 10 a.m. at the
DISC 55 Senior House. This very active group makes articles for others,
including members of the military and patients in local nursing homes and
hospitals. Its many patient teachers are glad to provide guidance to those
who come to help. Enjoy social time as well.

Activities
The DISC 55 Senior House hosts a variety of activities. Pinochle is played
at 7 p.m. on Wednesdays; Canasta from 1 to 4 p.m. on Fridays; and duplicate
bridge at 7:30 p.m. on Friday evenings. Sports Days are held on the first
and third Saturdays from 9:45 a.m. to noon.

Pompton Lakes

New members
St. Mary's Seniors welcomes new members. Members must be at least 55 years
young and reside in Pompton Lakes. The group meets at 1:15 p.m. every second
and fourth Wednesday in the church hall. Call Bob Bateson at 973-835-3352

Golden Age Club
The Pompton Lakes Golden Age Club welcomes new members. Anyone who is 55 and
older and resides in Pompton Lakes is welcome to join. Meetings are held at
1 p.m. on the first and third Thursdays of each month at the Civic Center on
Lenox Avenue. Call Fran at 973-835-4205.

Officer installation
On June 18, St. Mary's Seniors of Pompton Lakes will be holding the 30th
Annual Officer Installation Dinner and anniversary celebration at the
Brownstone. All are welcome. For information, call Warren Francis at

Ringwood

Meetings
The Ringwood Seniors welcome anyone 50 years or older from Ringwood and
surrounding towns. Meetings are held the third Thursday of the month at
12:30 p.m. Social gatherings are held on the first Thursday of the month
from noon to 4 p.m. All meetings and activities are held at the Skyline

Wanaque

Golden Age Club
The Wanaque Golden Age Club meets every Wednesday at 1 p.m. at 10 Villa
Place, Wanaque. The club also offers monthly day trips and longer trips,
such as a trip to Virginia Beach in September.


Wanaque social
A social for seniors is held every third Friday at 7 p.m. Coffee, cake and
ice cream are served. Attendees can participate in games and dancing. The

West Milford

Friday friends
"Friends on Friday" is a monthly program held at the Westbrook Park Teen
Center Coffee House. The focus of the program is to provide, at no charge,
monthly events for seniors. All events take place on the third Friday of
every month at Westbrook Park from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and will include snacks
and activities.

Bowling
The West Milford Parks & Recreation, Office of Older Adult Services is
looking for substitutes for its Young Hearts senior citizen bowling league,
which bowls every Thursday at 10 a.m. at the Warwick Bowling Lanes in
Warwick, N.Y. To join as a substitute or for further information, contact

Walking program
The West Milford Office of Older Adult Services offers a walking program for
senior citizens every Wednesday and Friday at 9:30 a.m. at Hillcrest
Community Center. Participants walk outside (weather permitting). In bad
weather, they walk inside at Hillcrest Community Center. If interested, call

Sittercize
The West Milford Office of Older Adult Services announces Sittercize classes
for seniors. The class will continue every Tuesday and Friday from 10:30 to
11 a.m. For additional information, call 973-728-2862.

Lunch
The West Milford Senior Nutrition Center, 1810 Macopin Road, serves lunch
weekdays at 11:30 a.m. The center offers a variety of activities and
recreation, such as health services, safety and education programs, coffee
hour, bingo, cards, craft classes (every Monday), exercise, birthday and
holiday parties and picnics. Call before 11:30 a.m. the day before you plan

Book club
The Senior Bookies Book Club meets on the first Tuesday of the month at
11:30 a.m. at the Valley View Pub, 1612 Union Valley Road, West Milford. For

Movie day
West Milford Older Adult Services offers movies for senior citizens on the
first and third Wednesday of the month at 9:45 a.m. The movie will be shown
at the Hillcrest Community Center on Macopin Road in Room 9. A lunch will be
provided at 11:30 a.m. at a cost of $1.25. Those interested in purchasing
lunch must call the day before by 11:30 a.m. to reserve lunch. For further
